Hi, I’m Hayley, designer and maker of Where There’s Mud. I tried my hand at pottery for the first time whilst living in Sri Lanka, as a child and LOVED it. Shortly after, life changed and my family relocated back to the UK and along with other hobbies, pottery too got left behind. I studied and worked in the creative industry and in September 2022 I found myself searching for a new hobby and re-discovered pottery, the love for it came rushing back and honestly I couldn’t put down that mud! ..And so Where There’s Mud was born.

I now create functional pieces that evoke joy through their shape, colours and pattern. Everything is made from Stoneware clay, I find this clay has the most longevity and durability. Everything is hand shaped, hand painted, and hand glazed, making no two the same. I hope you find the same joy in my pieces that I do.
