Hi, I’m Hayley, designer and maker of Where There’s Mud. I tried my hand at pottery for the first time whilst living in Sri Lanka, as a child and LOVED it. Shortly after, life changed and my family relocated back to the UK and along with other hobbies, pottery too got left behind due to lack of resources. I studied and worked in the creative industry and in September 2022 I found myself searching for a new hobby and re-discovered pottery, the love for it came rushing back and honestly I couldn’t put down that mud! ..And so Where There’s Mud was born.

I now create functional pieces that evoke joy through their shape, colours and pattern. Everything is made from Stoneware clay, I find this clay has the most longevity and durability. Everything is hand shaped, hand painted, and hand glazed, making no two the same. I hope you find the same joy in my pieces that I do.
